Youth Mission Trip

IMG_2631Each summer, the Youth Group attends a mission trip to connect as a group and learn more about the needs of a community. We explore how volunteering our time to help others relates to our faith and beliefs as Christians.

In the past several years, we have had mission trips to Chicago, DC, LA Mexico and right here in Madison.

Some examples of mission work that we have completed at past mission trips include picking up trash from tributaries to clean up water, assisted with a meal program to help serve fresh fruits and vegetables to families with low income, helped at a homeless shelter, lawn care for senior citizens, worked at a food pantry, cleaned up parks/spread mulch, painted classrooms, and volunteered at programs for children to help serve food/lead activities. During our trips, we explore the community we traveled to and participate in local recreation opportunities as well.

We hope you can join us on one of our future trips!
